Apex Optical is a family owned and operated business. We’ve been providing the Washington, DC metro area with high quality service and a passion for eyewear since our founder Mike Pelivanis started Apex in 1977.

Apex Optical thrives on happy satisfied customers. If someone comes in with a prescription problem, we check everything we can, remake the glasses, refer them to their doctor for a recheck, whatever it takes to get it right. We stick with you throughout the entire process. We don’t stop until our customers have a pair of glasses that work well for them.

When everyone else says no to filling a prescription, we say yes. This is why ophthalmologists send us their most difficult prescriptions. We can handle and fill them accurately. At Apex Optical, we try every road possible to get your prescription right. We have the ability to go to any lab, any manufacturer and access any lens. 

We get your glasses back to you–fast.

You won’t be long without your glasses when you come to Apex Optical. We have a lab at each location, so we can cut the lenses to fit a new prescription into your everyday frames while you wait. Say good-bye to waiting ages to get your glasses back while the work is being done.

Apex Optical offers many eyewear brands so our customers have plenty to choose from. We want to ensure that when someone visits our store, they can find something they love within their budget . We are proud of our inventory’s variety, we’re even prouder we can provide quality eyewear at reasonable prices. 

If you can’t find what you’re looking for at one of our locations, there’s a good chance one of our other stores will have it. Wecan quickly transfer merchandise to your preferred location rather than you having to travel to it.
